Peace Walk and Days of Service to Honor MLK Jr.

The Town of Mooresville’s Community Relations Committee is encouraging the public to participate in several events for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, including the annual Peace Walk and Breakfast on January 15, 2024.

This year’s events begin with three days of service at local organizations. If you’re interested in volunteering, click on the links below to register.
-January 11: Day of Service at the Christian Mission from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
-January 12: Day of Service at FeedNC
-January 13: Day of Service for Mooresville Kindness Closet. Event at CMCC from 9-11 a.m.

Kids of all ages are encouraged to take part in the talent show on January 13 at the Charles Mack Citizen Center (CMCC). The talent show is free to attend, and refreshments will be served. To enter the talent show, click here.

The annual Peace Walk will be on January 15 at 9:30 a.m. near CMCC. All residents, business owners, and visitors are welcome to join the peace walk. The annual Breakfast at CMCC will follow the walk at 10 a.m. Pastor Bill Russell is the keynote speaker this year. The event is free to attend, but registration is required. Registration will close on January 12.
