Leaf Season Nearly Here

You may have noticed this week that leaves are starting to fall. While it’s not quite time to start raking them up, the Town of Mooresville Sanitation Department wants to partner with you to make sure this leaf season goes smoothly.

-Do not place leaves near storm drains. They only clog up the storm drain and, in return, flood the streets.
-Do no bag leaves
-Do not mix leaves with brush
-Do not park in front of leaf piles
-Residents can use mulching blades on lawnmowers to mulch leaves back into the lawn

Our Sanitation Crews will do their best to stay on schedule, but please note storms and other things can delay their progress. Additionally, crews cannot go back to pick up piles put out behind them. We ask that piles be out by 6 a.m. on service day.
