Brawley School Road Construction to Impact Drivers Through July

Town of Mooresville will begin the Brawley School Road Forcemain Construction project the week of June 12, 2023. The project is expected to take 6-7 weeks, weather permitting, and is expected to be complete by the end of July, to minimize impacts to area schools.

The first three weeks of the project (beginning the week of June 12) will include overnight closures due to crews laying pipe. Crews will close some lanes from 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. Sunday-Thursday on Brawley School Road between Williamson Road and I-77.

Once crews finish laying pipe, they will transition to the second half of the project, which will include daytime lane closures. The Town of Mooresville will release more information about these daytime lane closures as we approach this aspect of the work.

There will be no closures July 3 & 4 for the holiday. Work will continue the night of July 5.

We understand this can be a nuisance for drivers, but please note these lane closures keep not only crews safe, but also you and your family traveling through this area.

You can stay up to date on this project and learn more about the daytime closures as we near that aspect of the project by following this story on MooresvilleNC.gov as well as the Town of Mooresville on Facebook, Instagram, and Nextdoor.
