The Town of Mooresville was awarded $12.4 million (in two tranches of $6.2 million) that must be spent by December 2026 through the American Rescue Plan Act 2021. Funding from ARPA can be used to improve community health readiness, address negative economic impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic (including small businesses support), aid the communities and populations hardest hit by the crisis, alleviate systemic challenges that face our community, or invest in water, sewer, and broadband infrastructure. The Town of Mooresville is seeking funding requests from outside agency partners to assist disproportionately impacted communities by the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes those agencies that serve vulnerable populations that experienced health and economic impacts in the following areas: housing, homelessness, mental health, food security, and public health.
