NC 115 & Langtree Rd. Intersection Improvement Project

NC 115 and Langtree Road Intersection Improvement Project (U-6249) is located along the southern edge of Mooresville. The Town is managing the design and implementation as a Locally Administered Project (LAP). The project is currently in the State Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP) developed by the N.C. Department of Transportation.  As a LAP, the Town was able to receive federal funding and contribute local funds to initiate the project in the NCDOT STIP and have more ability to manage the project development, design, and funding.

NC 115 and Langtree Road are key corridors that connect downtown Mooresville with I-77 to the west and Davidson, Cornelius, Huntersville, and Charlotte to the south. Congestion in this area continues to increase and results in extended delays at the intersection. The purpose of the project is to create a corridor that can withstand increased traffic congestion with future economic development and enhance livability for surrounding neighborhoods and businesses.

Project documents are available below. You may submit questions to Town Project Manager Camila Weckerly (704-799-4064 or cweckerly@mooresvillenc.gov).
