1. Do you have to be a resident of the Town of Mooresville to be buried in the Town’s cemeteries?

No, you do not have to be a town resident. However, please see the fee schedule as different rates apply to residents and non-residents.

2. Does the Town buy back graves that families do not want?

Yes, the owner has to sell the graves to the Town at the price that was paid at the time of sell.

3. Can you make payments on graves or do they have to be paid in full?

Yes, you can make payments but they have to be paid off within a year to avoid interest fees. However, should the unpaid grave need to be used it must be paid off before the grave can be opened for a burial.
