Public Meeting for Proposed Text Amendment

The Town of Mooresville is hosting a public meeting on June 18 to discuss a proposed text amendment to the existing Zoning Ordinance. You are cordially invited to this meeting, to be held from 9-10 a.m. at The Charles Mack Citizen Center, to discuss a proposed text amendment to allow for built upon area averaging per NCGS 143-214.5(d2).

This text amendment would allow increased development flexibility to the current maximum impervious coverage requirements on properties that are located with the Town’s Watershed Overlay District.

Your thoughts and suggestions are welcome and will be included with information provided to the Town Board of Commissioners before action is taken on the proposed text amendment. The meeting will be moderated by Town staff and held in a non-formal setting. If you are able to RSVP to jthompson@mooresvillenc.gov, it would be appreciated to ensure adequate space is being provided.
