Business Signage Permits

Due to the pandemic’s effect on businesses over the last year, the Town of Mooresville temporarily relaxed its sign permitting standards, helping those who might be struggling to advertise their services more freely and attract customers. As the Governor has now lifted many of the mandates that were in place that affected businesses, the Town will once again begin being more diligent about code enforcement in regard to signage permits. The Town does allow a wide variety of signs to be displayed to promote businesses, but they must be permitted. If you have not requested a permit for your signage, or have questions about what is allowed in Town limits, please reach out to the Town’s Planning & Community Development Department at 704-799-4020.
