Gov. Cooper issues Executive Order 188, extending modified Stay At Home orders

During a press briefing on January 6, Governor Cooper issued Executive Order 188, which extended the current modified Stay At Home order until January 29. Additionally, NCDHHS Secretary Mandy Cohen issued a secretarial directive to residents, stating that they should stay home unless they are taking part in an essential activity (such as work or grocery shopping), to not gather indoors with others that they do not live with, and that they should wear a mask and socially distance.
