In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic and the increasing number of cases in North Carolina, Governor Roy Cooper issued Executive Order No. 118, which limits the sale of food and beverages, and N.C. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Mandy Cohen has issued an Order of Abatement of Imminent Hazard requiring bars and restaurant seating areas to close until March 31 or until either order is rescinded or replaced. Restaurants are restricted to carry-out, drive-through, and delivery, and cannot serve patrons in an outdoor seating area. The provisions of Executive Order No. 118 and the Order of Abatement will be enforced by local law enforcement officers.
