The following are updates regarding Parks and Recreation programs and facilities in response to the COVID-19 outbreak:
The governor has moved NC into Phase 2 of re-opening. What does this mean for Parks & Recreation?
Outdoor Parks & Recreation Facilities:
Open to Public with Bathrooms Open
Playgrounds Closed (including Splash Pad at Hope Park)
Skate park Open
Pool Closed, Planning for Early July Opening pending staffing and training
Field Reservations Cancelled
Picnic Shelters can be reserved with signed agreement to abide by social distancing guidelines
Independent Contractors and Community Partners will be allowed to hold outdoor programs with written plan to demonstrate compliance with social distancing guidelines.
Farmer’s Market will open starting June 6th with social distancing measures.
Indoor Recreation Facilities:
Closed to Public
Programming & Reservations Cancelled
Summer Camp to be offered starting July 6th **pending staffing and planning for compliance with Executive Order and guidelines. Registration will open Monday, June 8th.
Mooresville Golf Club
Open to Public
Pro Shop Open
Carts Allowed (Can ride in same cart, or request single rider cart if desired)
